Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Who will be my Disc Jockey?
A: On The Air Entertainment only works with a handful of highly trained DJ's - all of which are professional Disc Jockey's in the Cincinnati area.

Q: Can I choose which DJ will host my event?
A: We will do whatever we can to accommodate requests. However, it will be handled on a first come, first served basis.

Q: How far in advance of my event should I book Mr. D.J.?
A: As far out as possible. Just as a reception hall can only handle so many events on a particular date, the same is true for Mr. D.J. In an effort to ensure the success of your event, we purposely employ fewer, select DJ's. But once they are all booked, the date is closed.

Q: Will I be able to meet with the DJ that will be doing my event?
A: Absolutely! It will be beneficial for us to meet about 2-3 weeks prior to your event so that we can customize everything on your behalf. Should you request a meeting earlier in your planning process, that can be accommodated as well.

Q: If my party runs later, can you stay longer?
A: We love a good party, and would be happy to stay - but it is up to the hall contact. With their permission, we can lengthen your event with an hourly fee due and payable that evening.

Q: Do you take breaks? A: No! You will have continuous music from the beginning of your event until it is time to end.

Q: I need ceremony music. Can you provide it?
A: Absolutely! We even have the capability of setting up in a remote location where there is no electricity available, with our small generator power source.

Q: If I want a song that you do not have, can I loan you my copy?
A: Yes. We can play your song from compact disc. But chances are, we'll have it!

Q: How many songs do you have for me to choose from?
A: 10,000+. But remember, your event is most likely only about 4 hours long. With the average length of songs being 3 minutes long, the most we could possibly play is 80 songs. And that doesn't take into consideration meal time, announcements or special events.

Q: Can I make a list of songs that I want played? A: Yes. We particularly encourage you to provide us with songs that are a must or songs for special dedications. But it is more important for us to have a list of what you DON'T want played. We ask that you let your DJ have flexibility to read the crowd and play appropriate music. Your DJ will not play music with questionable lyrics and will avoid songs that people cannot dance to.
